Today's Updates: Profile Pages, Privacy, League Browsing, and a Lot More
This was a big one. Here's everything that shipped today.
Account & Profile
- New "My Profile" page. Change your password, change your email, pick your country, and manage your newsletter preference, all in one place.
- Email changes now require confirmation. Changing your email sends a confirmation link to the new address -- nothing changes until you click it, so a typo can't accidentally lock you out of your own account. You'll also get a heads-up at your current email any time a change is requested, just in case it wasn't you.
- Country flags, shown next to your team's name wherever it appears -- standings, your team page, anywhere else. Set yours from your profile.
Privacy & Cookies
- A real cookie consent banner. Advertising and analytics scripts now only load if you click "Accept" -- decline, and they never load at all.
- New Privacy Policy page, covering what we collect, why, and what your options are.
- Newsletter emails are now opt-in, not opt-out. New accounts start unsubscribed unless you choose otherwise, and there's a real way to opt out at any time from your profile.
League & Standings
- Browse any league from Standings, not just your own -- see how the competition looks in other divisions.
- Top 10 on your dashboard. The mini standings widget now shows the top 10 instead of the full league, with a "View full standings" link if you want the rest.
- Sort rally results by any stage. Click any SS column (or Total Time) on a rally's results page to re-sort the table by that stage and see exactly where you gained or lost ground.
Team & Career
- Team legacy tiers: Amateur, Established, Competitive, Elite, Legendary -- a badge reflecting your team's lifetime championship points, shown on your team page. Unlike your season standing, this one survives every season reset. Sponsor offers scale with it too, so a longer track record genuinely pays off.
- Reassign mechanics on a build in progress. You're no longer locked into your original crew size once a car build starts.
- Competitor stats are private. Visiting another team's page shows their results, not their driver and car ratings.
Community
- We're on Discord now. Links are in the menu and on the forum page.
- A redesigned, collapsible menu. Related pages are grouped (Team, Compete, Community, Info), and each section can be collapsed to keep things tidy.
Under the Hood
- Reduced crash-outs and mechanical DNFs, for now, while we get a feel for the game without so many rallies ending early.
- Fixed "Forgot Password." It's been broken for a while due to a missing piece of the database that never got set up correctly -- should work properly now.
- Fixed the blog/Latest News pages for the same underlying reason.
- Assorted smaller fixes: clickable links in announcements, a dashboard spacing issue, a sidebar bug that could cut off menu items on shorter screens.
